Tickets for the Cure: a program to provide airfare for needy clinical trial participants from neighbor islands to travel to and from Oʻahu for their clinical trial participation.
SkinCheck Van: an outreach program that travels to farmer’s markets, parks and other outdoor events to educate on and prevent skin cancer.
Hawaiʻi State Science & Engineering Fair: April 2 – a special award to the UH Cancer Center winners of recognized high school research projects focused on cancer-related topics.
Hoʻola Early Phase Clinical Research Center: July 6 launch – a clinical lab at Hawaiʻi’s first dedicated early phase clinical research center for cancer. Patients will have access to innovative early-phase clinical trial treatments right here in Hawaii.
High School Student Program: July 20 - the UH Cancer Center summer program for local high school students to introduce them to population-based cancer research in Hawaiʻi.
Toast to Hope: July 31 - an event at the UH Cancer Center to introduce the community to clinical trials at the Center through tours and conversations with staff and researchers.
Run for Hope: September 11-12 - volunteer support of the 28th annual Run for Hope held at the Four Seasons Hualalai resort. This weekend of social events raises funds for cancer research.
