2022 Friends-Supported Initiatives
Sept. 9-11 2022: Run for Hope at Four Seasons Hualalai – This weekend of social events raises funds for cancer research. The Four Seasons Resort hosts the event and UH Cancer Center staff provides volunteers to run it.
Graduate Student Fellowship: This is a three-year grant to support a doctoral student in cancer research. Established in 2021, it is jointly sponsored by Clinical Labs of Hawaii.
Innovations and Ho’ola Magazine: This twice-yearly publication shares timely and important information about cancer research and developments at the UH Cancer Center as well as the Friends initiatives.
Tickets for the Cure – This program provides airfare for needy clinical trial participants from neighbor islands to travel to and from Oahu for their clinical trial participation.
